I am a 16 year old girl. I plan on getting lasik sometime in the future. I want to know…
1- how much it costs. with/out insurance
2- level of pain or discomfort
3- safety, risks and complications (people have said that lasik is bad because the flap never fully heals- is true?)
4- if you had lasik, would you recommend it?

I have contact lenses and my eyesight is -5.00 and i love my contacts alot but i was thinking thier like 20 dollars a pack and over a a few years those probally add up to thousands of dollars so would getting lasik eye surgery reduce that cost how espensive is it? and are there any side effects and will they give the surgery to 14 year olds those are my question and i have not discussed this with my parents yet so thank you for answering!

I’m a canadate for both but there is a huge cost difference. 2000 more per eye. Doctor says the success rate is really good for me with lasik but I am in the 3-5 percent of people who might need glasses again someday

I just thort Id make a video diary, as I found other peoples very useful when I was deciding wether to have the procedure.

I can see fine objects that are far away but trying to read is very blurry, I recently got reading glasses and my eyesight for reading has actually gotten worse.
